Girls are County Soccer Runners Up!
Well done to our senior girls who came second in the Spar schools soccer competition. They were excellent on both days of the competition, scoring some wonderful goals. Ella, galkeeper made a string of wonderful saves throughout the competition, ably protected by Orla, playing as a sweeper in front of her. Midfield dynamo Ciara chipped in with lots of important goals (scorIng SIX in our final game! to hand us runner up spot on goal difference. Star striker Caoimhe helped herself to lots of goals along the way, while little sister Hannah showed lots of promise and tenacity playing in midfield. Definitely one for the future. Louise and Tilly did really well when called upon , making some crucial interceptions and passes. So well done girls, the school is very proud of your efforts. A word of thanks to the parents who came and suported us and to the FAI and Spar for two good days of football. We wish the champions, Latton, well in the Ulster Finals.
