Grandparents Day 2019
As part of Catholic Schools' Week we celebrated Grandparents' Day. The children celebrated and paid tribute to their grandparents. Fr. Coffey introduced the celebration with a short Prayer Service, followed by poetry recitals, seisiúin ceoil, song-singing and a sketch from 1st class. There were a number of grandparent/grandchildren interviews and we learned a lot about the lives of our grandparents from these. The children were reminded and recognised the joy that grandparents bring to the lives and in turn the joy that they bring to their grandparents. We’d like to thank Fr. Coffey for his time and of course the grandparents who were able to attend such a beautiful event. Check out some photos from the day (under photos on the website).
