Scoil Mhichil makes the national news!
There was huge excitement in Scoil Mhichil this morning, Thursday 27th November when we found out that An Taoiseach, Mr. Enda Kenny had mentioned us in the Dáil in a political debate about water charges. In October, 5th & 6th Class pupils wrote to Mr. Kenny outlining concerns about some local and national issues that they have.
We were very surprised when we got news that Mr. Kenny had read the letters and mentioned them in his speech. Look at the links below for details! There was an article in the Irish Times about issues the children raised. Tessa from Northern Sound came out and interviewed the children about their letters. Mr. Baxter was then interviewed by Julie-Anne Sheridan live on the radio! Well done to all the pupils on their marvellous letters, everyone is very proud of you.The whole school listened to the children on the radio.
